Gene W. Caldwell

Gene W. Caldwell grew up in Thornton, Texas between Waco and Tyler before attending college and law school at Baylor University. Upon being admitted to the Bar, Mr. Caldwell moved to Tyler, where he served as Assistant District Attorney for Smith County before entering private practice. Mr. Caldwell was a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer from 1982 to 1990, demonstrating a high degree of quality, competence, integrity, and professionalism.
Mr. Caldwell has demonstrated both a commitment to the legal profession and to his local community throughout his distinguished career. He has served as a Director of the State Junior Bar of Texas, President of the Smith County Bar Association, a Director of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, a Director of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. In addition, Mr. Caldwell has served on the Community Development Housing Committee for the City of Tyler, the Executive Committee of the Baptist General Convention of Texas, the Tyler-Smith County Child Welfare Board, and on the Board of Directors of Goodwill Industries of Tyler.

Brian C.
